Are you a current/budding artist and want the opportunity to display your artwork in a local museum?

Then submit your artwork to the ‘Rediscovering the River Colne’ art competition. with your pieces inspired by the river!

As a part of ‘Rediscovering the River Colne’ programme, funded by Watford Borough Council, community charity Groundwork East is running an art competition starting which will see all entrants displayed in the Watford museum alongside a history of the River Colne exhibition.


The theme is the River Colne! Get creative with ideas and methods, for example; a sketch of passersby along the river, digital artwork of the river and its surrounding landscape, or a sculpture of river wildlife such as a heron. Your work can be in any form or style, as long as it relates to the Colne and its surroundings. It is open to any age and any ability.


The exhibition will be running throughout February 2022. For your work to be displayed, it must be framed or ready to hang and given only to the Watford Museum on 26 or 29 January 2022.
